My name is Madeleine K. Meese, born in 88 and raised in a little village called Frei. Completely from my first years with life I was very interested in animals. I was a rabbit breeder in several years until I got my very first dog Amigo an Australian Shepherd. He was a challenge for me as a first time dog owner and I got to learn a lot from him. We were active in the local dog club and very soon we found out that obedience was the right sport for us.
My childhood friend Tina( who owns May now) had Amigo’s brother and we met each other almost daily for training or walk in the wood. This was a very fun time of my life. Eventually ventured we in the competition ring for obedience. After a couple of years trailing we reached class three and we almost got to elite level but we missed with some points.
Nowadays I have a job at my cousin Elin’s ferry kiosk. We are training, having a great time and trailing with our dogs as often as possible. My cousin Elin and I also have Aussiemind kennel together.
Here at our place there is a lot of wood area and many beautiful mountains. To go for a walk with the dogs in this lovely nature is something I really appreciate.
I have several hobbies next to the interest for dogs. I try to combine my passion for photographing with the dogs and I am found of doing abstract pictures with special colours from the nature. In my free moments I am riding and taking care of our Icelandic horse together with my little sister.
Breeding and genetics is also one of my great interests and I always want to learn something new. This leads to some hours in front of the computer searching for new information about the Australian Shepherd and I keep myself updated about the research projects going on about the health in this breed.
We both are members of ASCA, NKK and ASKN
Madeleine is also member of a working dog club and Norwegian Search and Rescue Dogs.
