My name is Madeleine Meese and I was born in August 1988. I live together with my boyfriend and our lovely dogs in a small village in Norway named Frei.
Our house is close to the woods and surrounded by a beautiful nature where we are walking and playing with our dogs.

I got very interested in the Australian Shepherd when I stumbled into a nice little blue female in a dog show with a coincidence for about 8 years ago. I soon fell in love with this wonderful breed, its temperament and character they really hit my heart! In 2003 I got my very first Aussie, who is related to the female I met earlier, I got him from a breeder that lives close by.
His name is Amigo and I have learned a lot from him, he was quite a challenge when he grew up for a first time dog owner;) We trained at the local working dog club and I still take part there with my other dogs. Amigo and I almost got to elite level in obedience before we stopt competing. We were also doing agility, tracking and a little bit herding, we had a lot of fun together.

Years later after becoming more experienced with the breed I know which type of the Australian Shepherd I prefer. Then Fairoaks Nadera and Nabarun Faerie Queen got into my life, something I never have regret. I am so fond of the old breed type of the Australian Shepherd as a working dog and as a wonderful companion! This breed is really close to my heart and I use a lot of my time to read about its history and studying pedigrees, looking for new health information and learning about genetics. It is so interesting!

In the future I hope to get the possibility to do more herding and use more of my dogs natural abilities. The plan for this coming spring is to get some ducks to start with and take part in trainings, it will be fun for sure.
